6th-Jul-2008 06:48 pm - Throwing In The Towel...
I've been going through some major life changes in the past few months, which have left me unable to give my goals the attention they require. In addition, I no longer feel like the same person I was when I made those goals, and a lot them have become redundant and/or meaningless to me.

So I've decided to, for the moment, give up on the 101 in 1001. Maybe I'll do it again later, but for now, adios, everyone! This community been fantastic and incredibly inspirational, and I wish you all the best, both with your goals and with life in general.

(Note to mods: I'm leaving the community, so could you please take my name off the official list? Thanks!)
6th-Jul-2008 11:11 am - 101 Strategy
I hope this is okay to post to this community as it is sort of a plug for a new 101 resource I am creating. Please let me know if it's not and I will remove the post immediately.

I'm having a third and final go at Mission 101.

Since I have learnt the hard way through failing twice before, I am also going to be writing about why Mission 101 is still a valid thing to do, common mistakes that people make and best resources available on my companion blog, 101 Strategy. There are some mistakes I made with my first two lists that are really obvious in retrospect and I have become pretty good at looking at lists and saying, 'Probably feasible' or 'Won't last three months'. So all that frustration and list making has at least taught me a few things which I can now share.

I posted my first article to 101 Strategy this morning, the article's about how to make a list that is affordable. It's called Most Common Mission 101 Mistakes: No 1, Where Are You Getting That Million *From*? Money definitely seems to be the stumbling block to most lists being achieved so it seemed like a good place to start.

I'm going to cross post this to the 101 communities so apologies if you see it twice.
5th-Jul-2008 09:56 pm - Friends cut.
I just cut about 16 people, in effort to make my LJ less hectic for me to read. It's nothing personal - I was either not interested in your entries, we were not close enough, or both and your entries were either too long or too frequent. I will not add you back, sorry.

    28th-Jun-2008 11:37 pm - It's been a while!
Well, I haven't updated you all for a while (I only had one thing done last time I posted here!), so I figured now was as good a time as any.

You can see the whole list and what I've done so far (including in progress things, which I haven't listed here) at THIS ENTRY.

I finished my education-related stuff, since I've just recently graduated from college.

    093. Added June 2008: Learn how to play at least one song on piano.

There have also been additions to my book, movie, and recipe lists, so you can see those in the entry I linked above if you feel so inclined.

    25th-Jun-2008 02:01 pm - Sorry...BiYearly Progress Report!
Okay...I absolutely suck at updating to this comm, mostly because I have been avoiding my LJ because of a broken heart and keeping myself busy in other ways. Anyway...here are the tasks I've completed thus far.

53)Get back to my art class--After I left school a semester early (I graduated, didn't drop out) I decided that I would keep busy by going back to my art class. Which sort of helped with a few of my art goals.

    55) Buy a new two piece bathing suit--Went to Target this spring and bought this cute one with sailboats on it (very tasteful and really flattering). Anyway, I wore it to an amusement
park for my senior trip and my friend commented about my ability to pull off the "bikini look."

    72) Keep a regular job for more than three months--My first job was a pharmacy where the manager treated me like crap! So I quit this time last year. Anyway...the point is that I got a job at a bakery and now I am really happy. Though all the free goodies are probably not good for me.

    74) register to vote--Newly registered as of today. Just waiting for the letter of acceptance to come.

    My Updated List

Another thing. I find that a few of my goals I've fallen off the wagon with. So they need revising. I also still need about twenty more tasks to finish out the list.

    Yadda yadda yadda.

Work is chill, but it makes me so tired that when I finally have free time, I don't want to do anything but lay down.
Yesterday was the worst day so far because I fucked up and spilled like 20gal of water all over the place. It was horrible.

Today is Tuesday which means the day after tomorrow I'm leaving to go to LA!
The countdown couldn't be going any slower. I'm still broke as fuck and probably shouldn't be going, but there's no way I would not go.
    It's going to be amazingggggggg.
    24th-Jun-2008 09:21 am
My name is Meghan and I'm a 20 year old girl from Pennsylvania. My 21st birthday is coming up on July 23rd and I'm really excited! I'm going to be starting college in the fall and taking up nursing. I'm pretty excited about that.

Some of the things that I enjoy are: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Invader Zim, paranormal things, abandoned buildings, reading, watching TV, listening to music, watching foreign movies, playing with my cats, going for walks, and sleeping.

I'm a pretty kick ass person and I like people to read my journal and comment like crazy. I'm a comment whore so if you add me you'll be sure to get lots of comments.

If you like what you've read add me. If not then it's your loss.
